NEW card
an alternate design for the card of my
father-in-law. we went with the wood background (see below) ultimately because when the two are side by side, you'd be more likely to pick up the other one.
that said, there is more logic to this background, considering the nature of his business.

this is the "spec" art i produced for the book.
the guy didnt like it, because it was too "rosy." well, hell. the boy is under the desk, hiding from the celebration. whats rosy about that? if i dont amp up what it is the character doent like about the holiday, his behavior makes no sense.
