these are single panels im showing so maybe you can see the details of the prushwork. i painted this sequence - at the club - in painter, with oils.
im colorblind, so doing color pages makes me crazy nervous. what i do and did in this case is grab an image i like - in this case i think i colored teh whole sequence off of a screengrab from the super awesome short film called boys night out - see it at cartoon brew - and then i used just shades of those two colors.
we go to the printer this week. after its published i think ill show more artwork from this comic. it was a blast doing it and i hope it looks good on paper !

the comic im working on.
im still figuring out the characters a bit. and the format. after i did much of the drawing i realized that comics have a very specific format /layout - 6.625 x 10.25. quite a bit narrower than i had considered it before. ive held so many comics in my life but i never really thought about it.

the mummy 3 is coming to montreal to shoot and i got a call from the art department. so i dashed off some storyboards to show them.
unfortunately they cancelled our meeting before it occured.
the premise of this one is someone revitalizes the buried terracotta army in china. thats pretty cool. so i imagined them coming to in a thunderstorm.
